Welcome to my blog! Today I've taken a few hours out of my day to create this wonderful website, which, in all honesty, should not have taken me nearly this long to make... but I digress. My name is Mar, and I'm an 11th-grade junior currently taking a media studies class at my high school. As part of the curriculum, I was told to make this very blog. Here, I plan to post small film and media analyses, as well as updates on my school projects.
As for my very creative blog name (which took an embarrassingly long amount of brainstorming), I simply combined two things that I enjoy: 70s punk culture and oxymorons. As well as, of course, something which I thoroughly despise: living in the American suburbs.
